A Custom Installation by RMC Electronics
For this Riviera 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, our technicians selected an elevated mounting position that provides an uninterrupted view of the horizon, maximising the camera’s detection capabilities while maintaining the yacht’s sleek profile.
To ensure long-term durability in the marine environment, all cabling was professionally terminated and protected using marine-grade heat shrink.
One unique aspect of this installation was accommodating the vessel’s existing FLIR camera, which was already mounted in the ideal location on the hardtop.
Rather than relocating or compromising the performance of the FLIR unit, the RMC Electronics team designed and manufactured a custom 3D-printed mounting spacer. This bespoke component raises the FLIR camera above the newly installed SEA.AI camera, ensuring its field of view remains completely unobstructed.
By stacking the FLIR camera above the SEA.AI system using the custom mount, both technologies can operate as intended while maintaining a clean, OEM-style finish. Once reassembled, the completed installation integrates seamlessly with the yacht’s existing equipment, preserving both functionality and the premium aesthetic expected aboard a Riviera 6800 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition.
